Existing Jewish Radio

Now I have decided on my target audience and had a look at some of the news content that will feature, I now need to do some research into existing Jewish radio. Due to the fact that the audience is so niche it is unlikely that there will be a huge range of existing stations, however there may be shows.

Below are a list of the UK Jewish radio stations I have found:

Jcom is a Iewish radio station that was forced to close in 2008, here is a link to the wikipedia page.

Jcom

Radio Salaam Shalom is both a Jewish and a Muslim radio station based in Bristol: below is the wikipedia page.

There aren't that many Jewish radio stations, however there are Jewish shows on different stations. Jazz Jews is one of these shows on Jazz Radio. below is a link to the website

Something Jewish is another Jewish radio show: below is a link to their website

Jewish News Conclusion

After doing my research into Jewish news I have found that the majority of stories are purely community news. The majority of stories are local and the ones that were not took place in other small Jewish communities. The only global news stories I saw were stories that were breaking news but the content was still predominantly Jewish. When creating my radio show and deciding on news stories I now know that in order to attract a large audience I will need to make my stories as community specific as possible.
