Alcohol
Awareness
|
The advert begins with sinister music and a sinister voice introduces himself as "Mr. Intoxication", from that point it is clear the advert is targeted at adults as the word intoxication implies drugs or alcohol. Running water is heard implying someone is pouring a drink and the narrator states that he can turn you into a monster and play with your mind. Screams are heard and then a ticking clock possibly implying life is running out, this is supported by another voice claiming that when you wake you may find yourself in a hospital bed, a police station or a big world of regret. There is then more sinister laughing. There is then a third narrator explaining the dangers of alcohol. Overall I think this advert is very affective due to the fact it has elements of horror in it but also speaks the truth possibly shocking the listener.

The advert begins with inspirational music which continues throughout. The advert consists of many young people talking about dreams they may have, achievements they have made and many people who have accomplished their dreams like David Beckham and Martin Luther King. The advert has two possible audiences. The first is to adults like teachers, parents and maybe even policemen who don't think much of young people and are perhaps threatened by them. The youths also make reference to the fact that there are many different names for them but nobody uses their own names. The other audience could be other young people who they are trying to inspire to achieve their dreams. I think this advert is good however I do not think it is very affective as it is not particularly clear what is actually being advertised.

TNT
|
The advert begins quite comically with the narrator mentioning a man in France who eats bicycles one at a time. He then goes on to explain that that's how TNT gain their valued customers. The narrator then explains how the deliveries work for the companies. The voice used is quite relatable and friendly. Possibly to encourage businesses. There is then some slow but upbeat music while the same narrator gives the listener TNT's details. This advert is obviously redirected at businesses. I think it is effective as it is detailed in explaining the way the companies work however there is nothing unique or "ear-catching" that sets this apart from other adverts.

Radio Advert Analysis
I visited the website Radioville in order to listen to adverts in the way they are presented, the way they use music and how effective they are. This will help me in my final task as it will make it easier to create adverts that are effective and get the message across.
